The role
What you'll be doing
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Spa Director to lead our spa and wellness operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Spa Director will oversee the complete day-to-day operation of the spa, including team leadership, guest experience, treatments, retail, commercial performance, health and safety, and brand standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading, developing and motivating the spa team
• Recruiting, training and retaining talented professionals
• Delivering an exceptional and personalised guest experience
• Managing budgets, payroll, revenue and profitability
• Increasing treatment, membership and retail sales
• Creating effective rotas based on business demand
• Maintaining outstanding cleanliness, presentation and safety standards
• Managing treatment menus, suppliers, stock and product partnerships
• Responding professionally to guest feedback
• Working closely with hotel leadership, marketing and other departments
• Identifying new opportunities to grow the spa and wellness offering
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous leadership experience within a luxury hotel, resort or high-end spa
• Strong commercial awareness and operational experience
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• A proven ability to develop teams and deliver high service standards
• Experience managing budgets, revenue targets and performance
• A recognised spa, beauty or wellness qualification would be an advantage

The first 90 days
What success looks like
Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will have built strong relationships with the team and wider hotel leadership, reviewed the complete guest journey and identified clear opportunities for improvement. They will have established consistent service standards, assessed training and recruitment needs, reviewed the treatment menu and supplier relationships, and introduced a practical plan to improve revenue, retail performance, productivity and guest satisfaction.

Commercial responsibility
Full responsibility for the spa’s commercial performance, including revenue, payroll, operating costs, retail sales, memberships, treatment utilisation, stock control and profitability. The Spa Director will prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor results and take action to achieve agreed financial targets while protecting the quality of the guest experience.
