Candidates often prepare heavily for the questions they might be asked and barely think about what they should ask back. That is a mistake.\n\nAsk what success looks like after six months. Ask why the role is vacant. Ask about team turnover and how long the current managers have been in place. Ask which commercial measures matter most. Ask what the relationship is like between spa and the wider hotel.\n\nIf the role includes change, ask what has already been tried. If it includes growth, ask what investment is actually approved. If progression matters to you, ask what happened to the last person who progressed internally.\n\nGood questions do not make you difficult. They show that you are thinking seriously about the role and protecting the quality of your next move.
